We gather every Sunday, to receive communion and devote ourselves to the work of worship; two practices we believe shape us to love and desire the best things in life. Service is at 10am. Attire is casual but feel free to wear whatever you're most comfortable in. The service runs roughly one hour and is a mix of both modern and traditional elements.
OUR WORSHIP
We exist to be a community that celebrates, in word and deed, the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our local neighborhoods and throughout the city. We are driven by an overarching sense of purpose centered on the Gospel, the Good News of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ. So what is the Gospel? It is the announcement (literally Good News) that Jesus’ death, resurrection, ascension and sending of the Holy Spirit is the salvation for any man, woman or child who believes in him. Through Jesus, God is reconciling people to himself and adopting them as his sons and daughters! This Gospel isn’t just personal good news; it’s also cosmic.
So, are you a Christian?
Do you find your story in the Gospel? Is your identity in your relationship with Christ and with his church? If not, then our hope is that you will find Resurrection to be a community with which you can investigate the claims of the Christian faith. And if so, our hope is that Resurrection might be for you a home—a family where your faith will deepen and where you will be equipped to live for Christ in every sphere of life.

CATHOLIC
Rather than referring to the Roman Catholic Church, we use the term in its original sense, which means “according to the whole” or “universal.” So, as catholic Christians we embrace the basic convictions that have been held by the church throughout history. Specifically the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
COMMUNION
Communion, or The Lord’s Supper or The Eucharist, is the family meal for Christians. We welcome all Christians – those who look to Christ alone for salvation, who are in good standing with His Church and who seek strength to live more faithfully to their Savior–to Join in this sacrament.
Those unable to receive Communion may cross their hands over their chest and will receive a blessing from the minister (or you may simply stay in your seat). If you cannot receive wine, non-alcoholic grape juice is available in the tan cup. Also, we have gluten free bread available. Please ask the server.
PRAYER
We learn to love God as we spend time with him in prayer. We learn about our dependence on God and we exercise faith as we bring to him our needs and desires. Prayer happens in many places and has many forms.
THE SERMON
Some view the sermon as a way to get principles for “right” living. Others see it as a chance to take a nap. In reality, as we open the Scripture we corporately encounter Christ.
THE WORD OF GOD
We learn to love God as we read, study, listen to, and mediate upon the Holy Scripture. In the Old and New Testaments, we see the revealing of the Gospel from the beginning of time. Another way to put it is that the Old and New Testaments comprise one grand story of God’s love for his people and his constant pursuit of his people.
THE OFFERING
Giving is an act of worship, a declaration of faith. We hold it to be a joyful, sacrificial response to the sacrifice we have seen in Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve. Generosity conforms us closer to the image of Christ, resists our culture of greed and materialism, and equips us to care for the lost. Come lock arms with us in this good work.
Because money is so powerfully tied to our hearts, this is a valuable expression of worship as we acknowledge that everything we have comes from God and belongs to Him. If you are visiting with us, please do not feel obligated to give. We are just glad you’re here.
BAPTISM
We baptize both adults and infants and believe there is no qualitative difference between the two. The practice of infant baptism is in line with our Reformed tradition as well as many other Christian traditions.
THE SACRAMENTS
We learn to love God as we practice and receive the sacraments because they are signs and seals of God’s love for us. All Christians agree on the necessity of two: Baptism and Holy Communion.
